Best bags / totes

What is the best bag or tote for takin all your stuff to and from work? I want it to be organized.... currently I use a bag but it is full of mini bags for each of my groups of stuff. I can't stand everything just dumped into one large pocket. Suggestions?

Midway through the year I was getting tired of lugging all of my certification textbooks around in a non-ergonomic tote bag, so I switched to a backpack and I love it. I use the quad pack from LL Bean, and I can't recommend it enough. Pockets to keep everything organized and I can use it as a carry on as well (though I work is NICU, so I don't worry too much about bringing hospital germs home with me).

I use a backpack from Walmart. It was cheap and has lots of pockets. It's big enough for all of my nurse stuff and lunchbox/snacks.
