What specialization are you wanting?
Understand that when you ask for such recommendations- 99.99% people who hold a DNP have only attended one school for it and so comparisons will not be forthcoming.

Affordable schools are usually state funded and state run public universities. Keep in mind, BSN-DNP is literally two degrees-in-one, so it may not be "cheap" compared to already having an MSN no matter what school you attend. GL!

In California, I found the CSU DNP programs the most affordable but they are only offered as MSN to DNP. http://www.calstate.edu/dnp/documents/brochure.pdf
Hey, i am thinking of FNP. I think they are in demand, whats your experience ?
You know that DNP is not required- you can become an FNP with a MSN and most do. That opens up many more possibilities and in this case Google is your friend.
And if you only 'think' FNPs are in demand- then you clearly have not researched the role or the field enough to be pursuing it right now. Take your time and make sure it is the direction you want to head before starting.
I know with MSN one can get their NP. I am researching on all options for selecting DNP specialization. I am interested in FNP so far though i know other specializations make more money and are more popular. What is your specialization if you don mind me asking.
Mine is Ed Leadership- I am not nor have I ever been an advanced practice nurse. DNP does not mean you are advanced practice. DNP can specialize in Ed, Leadership, Informatics, Population Health- lots and lots of things.
