Bergen Community College Nursing Day Session 2023

Published

Hello everyone, I attend Bergen Community College and am currently just about done with my last prerequisite course which CHM-112 and after that I can finally apply to the Nursing Program Day Session 2023! I am so excited to apply to the program and really hope I get in. I really hope I can meet new people who are also applying to the program so we can all connect on here. I plan on studying for the TEAS throughout this Winter break. I hope to hear from some of you soon!

There have no minimum scores requirement for BCC, but I checked 2022's comments, someone said 80 would be a competitive score. While I saw there is someone got 75 or 78 also get into the program in 2020 or 2021.

Ahhh I see I take mine the 29th. I wish everyone the best! How is everyone studying ?

Hey guys! Minimum is a 60 ... but that's not good enough. I got a 74 but applied to holy name. Holy name accepts as low as a 70. but I'm taking it again this Wednesday and applying to bergen. I was told by a friend in admissions that they accept anywhere in the 80s. And since people have heard it's so competitive there's a lot less applicants this year. And they don't rely on your GPA as heavily. They have new staff. So this is the best year to apply.  For the TEAS... math and English isn't that hard but you have to study.  Fractions, decimals, conversions.. mean median mode.. speed time and distance... a few questions for area and circumference for shapes. Watch YouTube videos that explain the math. It's pretty accurate. Science... a lot of ap, know terms... ligaments, histones, enzymes, hormones, but also a lot of basic knowledge about cells, Golgi apparatus, ribosomes, a few chemistry - acids and bases, balancing equations. English... I mean. Know grammar. Be able to read something and know the topic and what not. I used mometrix to study. They have practice exams. And YouTube videos. Hope this helps. It's alot. But stay focused. Good luck!

I finished my TEAS and got 82 ,but I didn't finish my reading part as it's the first part of the exam, I didn't manage the pace properly. so just beware of the time, and good luck to everyone!

That's great! How was the science portion of the test for you?

It's just as hard as practice test on the ATI web. The questions are wide on AP knowledge, but not deep. Also include biology and chemistry. But if you finished anatomy 109 and 209 courses ,it would be fine for you~ don't worry!

Not yet. Still waiting ...

Still waiting! Hopefully we hear from them soon.

Hi all! Still waiting on a response.. I emailed the nursing secretary today about when to expect them and she said to just know that they are being sent out accordingly and to continue to monitor your email and USPS mail ?
