Hey guys,
I saw that there was no post for our group so I decided to create on. How is everyone doing with their Hesi? Also, is someone who is accepted into their program declines admission, do they open up a spot for someone else?
You need "health care provider" BLS AED CPR. They are particular at Bergen it must be from the American heart association. It is not just any normal CPR course re read your packet that was mailed home it gives specifics.
Also read carefully the notice that was posted and mailed home about health insurance although Christie has passed no health insurance is required by full time students our school and affiliated hospitals that we do clinical at DO require personal health insurance.
You can search for an AHA course in basic life support for healthcare providers here:
Depending on your location Bergen County EMS academy and most local hospitals such as Hackensack UMC offer classes on a regular basis.
the insurance im considering to have is $170/month. CRAZY!!!!!!!!
you can compare insurance rate here

This is the site I got the malpractice insurance. Professional Liability Insurance for nurses, nursing medical malpractice.
And this is the page that gives you the quote. www.nso.com/quick-quote/page1.jsf
I actually paid $37.23 which includes surcharge and healthcare provider organization membership fee according to them. I talked to a student at the orientation, and he did pay exactly same. When I gave the certification of the insurance to the office, Angie(secretary) told me I got right one. So $23 doesn't sound right to me, but you never know, they might have changed their price. You might wanna contact NSO or nursing department office.
Here is the NSO contact information link Contact Us at NSO
