Hi! I'll be applying for Winter qtr as well. Didn't do so well on the TEAS, I'll be banking in 1 enormous point for that piece, LOL. I haven't taken the writerplacer exam yet, still waiting for the information sessions to update so that I can attend a "mandatory" session. As of now, I'm sitting at about 12 points (minus writerplacer). How about you?
@prenursingtheophilus Hey! i'll only be at 12 points, I'm not sure how competitive that is. My TEAS is 78% and my science GPA is 3.475
We'll see. I read from previous blogs that winter qtr average points are a bit lower than fall qtr. Did you take your writerplacer yet? I just got a job at a hospital and I'm training for the next 6-8 weeks, so I may postpone application until spring because I want to get comfortable in my role. I'm also considering Shoreline as well for spring. Are you applying anywhere else?

Greetings! Is this thread still alive? I am applying to the Winter 2019 cohort and would really like to chat with others who are doing the same.
yes we're still here
Great! Who is applying for Winter 2019? I'm nervous about points because I understand that the average for those invited to attend Fall 2018 was 14 points. I'm standing at 12, but still have to take the Writerplacer, which will give me at least one more point. My final push is for the volunteer hours and I am shooting for about 60 more to get to 80 by the end of September. In the end, I'm really hoping to have at least 14 points!
What about everyone else?

Hey guys nice to meet you! I'm currently at 6 points but haven't taken the TEAS or wrkteplcer yet. Depending on how I do, the most I can get is 11 points ): but it seems like winter quarters average is a lot lower than falls.
how was the TEAS for everyone else?
Seems like you're off to a good start as you'll be close to 14 after the writeplacer!

I'm at 15.
Just finished the TEAS on Friday. Wow, was that tricky. The reading was the worst part!
Good luck everyone.
