HELLO out there!
Today at work on a busy Neuro ICU unit, a brand new resident sitting in chair was mistaken for a patients nurse. She quickly snapped that she was the doctor and stated that the confused physical therapist get her professionals right. The P.T. then continued to apologize for the mistake and that she didnt mean any offense by it.
Now why would that be offensive? i thought we were all working on the same team, though a brand new Resident with no experince is upset to be compared to a nurse. I find this HIGHLY OFFENSIVE! I work just as hard and feel walked all over with attitudes like this.
I was referring more about the way MA's, tech's, etc. are talked about by some of those on this board.
Majority of the gripes about MAs are about the ones that refer to themselves as nurses.
And when people have talked about the techs, it usually been in reference to one that is lazy.
More searching at this website will find PLENTY of positive comments about techs.
The complaining has gone both ways.

I wasn't referring to myself being treated bad by RN's. I was referring more about the way MA's, tech's, etc. are talked about by some of those on this board. I'm not trying to make anyone mad, but just read some of the posts about the ma's, tech's and you'll know what I'm talking about.
