I am starting my LVN program in August at Dallas Nursing Institute, but after reading reviews about the school has gotten me pretty nervous. I don't have time to take the pre reqs required by community college or being on a waiting list but don't want to waste more time at a school that won't help me be the best nurse possible. Former or current students can you please give me your experience with DNI. Anybody else please feel free to give your input as well. Thanks.

I was originally looking into that school as well and did not find any good reviews for it, plus it's a for-profit school from what I can tell. So it's more expensive. And the credits aren't sure to transfer. When I get there in less than a month, I am hoping to find something! Nice to see someone else going for the same thing!
I will say I have had friends that completed school there and they didn't have any problems except for it was hard (which I would imagine every nursing program to be). I'm glad I'm not the only one either :-)

All of the for-profit schools in the D/FW area (Concorde, Platt, DNI, Universal) are going to generate complaints and poor reviews because students become demanding when $20,000+ in tuition is being spent on their educations. That's the way of the world.
I did notice that when I researching the schools that all the reviews were poor. Thank you for input @The Commuter

Hello @jasminewilliams, I know it is almost a year later but how are you doing at DNI? I am looking into attending the LVN program starting soon within the next month or so. How was your experience and did you go to DNI or did you choose a different school? I was just curious.
