Becareful with ccconline

Not that they're not a good school, Im sure they are And they are totally accrediated.

But I was signed up to take Micro and BioChem from them this fall, and I thought I would submit course info to my future nursing programs just to make sure they would accept them for prereq courses. This was CSU Stanislaus and Fresno in California. And they straight rejected them. They said they would not accept online classes w/online labs. They said labs must be performed in the traditional classroom settings. All transfer work when you apply to any school will be evaluated for equivalancy to whatever that school has as prereqs, and they can approve or disapprove of it.

Just thought I'd let people know that, be sure that your school will accept these courses. They'll need to see the course syllabus and outline from the ccconline website to be sure. You dont wanna waste time and alot of money taking these classes and have them not be accepted. Hope this helps.

That's interesting as I have taken several classes through ccconline as have other people I know and the transcript has the course and the grade and is exactly the same as those who have taken courses in the classroom. As for a course description that too made no mention of online or in class. Sorry these courses will not be accepted in your program but good you found out beforehand. Just for the record the micro was a tough course.

The transcript comes form your "home institution." It never says online or indicates that kind of info.

The only reason I am thinking of leaving CCConline is the increase in price this semester. Edukan is cheaper for me.

I am so sorry it didn't work out for you. I am glad you found out before you spent all that money. That would have been terrible to do all that work and not have the class transfer.

Oh, I know the transcripts dont say "online". My universities didnt care. They said (since Im in California not Colorado) that all transfer classes from schools outside the CSU university system would have to be evaluated for equivalincy and they do that by obtaining all the info on the class, (what the format was etc.)

If it had been a school in California they would have never even looked into it, they would have just accepted it. But what I am saying is anyone who is not in Colorado should think about that, because all schools will determine equivalincy of outside courses to their own courses. Hope that makes sense. Maybe it was just this school in particular that was picky, who knows. But thats the school I wanted to get into. Im sure 99% of the time their fine

Yeah I kinda thought it was the "being in on state taking classes in another state" thing that was the sticking point after I read you e-mail and post my reply. It's good you found out before hand.
