Hi!! I just got my license transfered to Texas and I'm ready to look for work. I am a LVN with 2 years of LTC experiance. When I look online not to many jobs are listed in those area. If anybody knows a place that's hiring I sure would appreciate it. Thank you.
Anybody?
I seen some postitions open for license PCT at the Baptist hospital in Beaumont. Should I just fill out an application or try to speak to HR or unit manager? Any advice?

If you get the chance to talk to anyone, especially if jobs are looking pretty sporifice in that area of Texas, I'd take it. You may have to get your foot in the door and advance from there. Have no idea what the job market is like in that area but in some areas work can be hard to find.
Thank you for your response. I will certainly pound the pavement if need be:-) I don't know what the market is like in this area. Im hoping somebody from this area will chime in.

If you have not found a job, there are always lvn jobs posted in the Baytown sun (the newspaper). Look on Baytown suns website under jobs there probably will be some posted. It seems like there are always lvn jobs in ltc around here.

Have you checked with CHRISTUS Hospital in Beaumont? (used to be called St. Elizabeth).
Thank you very much kdernee and HouTx. I am going look at the newspaper and Christie in Beaumont. I seen a little hospital in Winnie I'm going to check them out to. I'm thinking about just going up to hr bulidings and getting some leads because filling out theses applications online have gotten me no where. The nursing jobs I previously got i showed up at the facility with my resume in hand.
Liberty health care in liberty, tx is hiring lvns. Idk how far you are away from liberty it's about 20 miles north east of Baytown.
Thank you Kdrenee!! Any lead is so helpful. I will check liberty health care.
You are so welcome!! Good luck:)
I am still job hunting. I see a lot of ads on Craigslist and Indeed for home health agencies. Does anybody have any info about them?
