Hello,
I recently got really interested in BSN program at BCIT, and I need some help from those who have experience in this field or know about BCIT nursing program.
1) Do BCIT look at highschool grades? My highschool grades are not really low, they are pretty average. Only my grade 12 grades are a bit high. Is it okay?
2) Do BCIT look mostly on college grades?
3) Do you know average gpa for bcit nursing program?
4) Are there courses you recommend me taking other than the ones listed on the site?
5) This question is similar to 1 and 2 but I will ask anyway. Is post secondary average more important than highschools? Or are they equivalent?
6) What is the minimum credit needed to apply for BCIT nursing?
7) Is volunteer/ work experiences crucial? I believe I can volunteer, but in order to study, working is not a option for me.
8) courses at langara are transferrable to BCIT right?
9) Any advice?
Thank you!

There are several youtube videos produced by BCIT which cover many of the questions you posted. Here is a link to a BCIT nursing info session: Nursing Info Session - Program Advisor - YouTube
Also, make an appointment with the nursing program advisor. Her contact information is posted in the above youtube video.
I hope it helps.

Also, past threads on this site from previous BCIT intakes go over all you need to know about that and more. It took me a while to read it all but it was very helpful learning about others' application process.
