BCIT Nursing January 2015 Applicants

World Canada CA Programs

Published

I decided to start this thread for all the other eager nursing applicants just like myself! I am going back to Capilano University to take some Biology courses (Bio 112&Bio 113), Psychology (Psych 100 & 101), English 100, Sociology 100, and Philosophy 101. This is based on BCIT's new requirement for the 2014 intake! In addition to that, I have also been working for Vancouver Coastal Health as a Health Care Assistant for about 2-3 years now. I am looking at about 45-50 post secondary credits after I finish all the courses at Cap! I might take Libs 7001 on May 2014, then apply for the January 2015 intake!! Anyone else interested in BCIt Nursing program January 2015 intake?

Hey!

I got an email saying that I was put on the holdlist! Did anyone else get the email?

Thanks for making me feel better xoxkayytee ^^

Yeah I was put on hold list as well. Does yours say top 10?

Hello there! Does anyone know how much the fees are every term? I know that the first level is about $3500 not including books. Thanks in advance!

does one need to be a care aide to enter the program? I have an associates in criminology and volunteer experience in a mental health setting.

Hi fiba,

No, you don't need to be a care aide to get into the program. Check the website for more specific info on admission requirements. Also, experience in the mental health setting could be very useful for your application.

Cheers!

Congrats to everyone accepted in the Jan intake. Your journey to a great career has begun! Be proud!! I recently graduated from the BSN program at BCIT, and secured my dream job within a week of completing the program. I won't tell you it's going to be easy, but it will absolutely be worth it.

Hi Guys,

I am currently a post secondary student and I plan on applying to Bcit once I get my prereqs together. Could you guys please tell me exactly what to focus on and what Bcit looks for in your application. Just thought id would be really helpful since most of you just recently got accepted and you would know a lot more than me.

Thank You!!

Hi just wondering if you were accepted in the jan 2015 intake?

Hi congrats on your acceptance! I was just curious as to the questionnaire you had to do, what were the questions like. Also, how are you enjoying the program?
