BCIT August 2012

Published

Hello everyone,I wanted to start this forum because I'm getting nervouse about my application to the BSN program at Bcit. I appled for this August (2012) and I am still awaiting a reply. Has anyone else applied? I would love to hear about your application so I have something to compare myself against and could know ways to improve. Please let me know:)Cheers!

@vana_

There is still hope! I recieved this from a BCIT advisor that I emailed earlier today:

"Your timing is great because I’ve just spoken with the Nursing department about this process! They are now sending out emails to those applicants who have been shortlisted. Some have already gone and the remainder of emails are expected to be sent in the next 1-2 days. For those not shortlisted, their on line application status should reflect this again, they are hoping this will be in the next 1-3 days."

sandy28,

Thanks for keeping us updated with the email from the advisor. Sounds like our wait will be over soon! Fingers crossed that everyone gets good news in the next few days!

@ sandy28

I am graduating this June with a BSc in Psych from UBCO, and I Candy striped in the past, plus have taken A&P...so we are almost in the same boat. I hope we hear soon! =)

@dmak26

Sorry to hear that! Lets hope the rest of us hear good news from BCIT!!!! =D

I just found out I am shortlisted! I'm very happy! :w00t: I hope others are receiving good news too!

I just received my shortlist email too! I don't know if I will be able to sleep tonight!

Yay sandy28!! Weird they are sending them so late in the evening, I had almost given up on my obsessive email checking for the day!

I was also very surprised to receive an email so late this evening about being shortlisted. Hope the rest also find out soon!

I just realized also that the letter of intent is optional and not completely mandatory.

congratulations guys!

I am still waiting.

Thats interesting that it's being sent out so late in the evening! Maybe I will hear something soon

Hi friends

I am a BCIT nursing graduate and came across this post and wanted to share some of my personal experience with you all.

I graduated around 3 years ago and also have a BA from UBC prior to BCIT. I must say that BCIT was a tough program and many students were seriously challenged.

I wanted to suggest to you all to look elsewhere if you are having to wait behind the doors to get into BCIT..specially if you have a previous degree...many USA universities offer Nursing degrees (bachelors of sci) in 1 year if you have a previous degree/bachelor..i did not know this when i decided to study nursing and could have saved thousands of dollars and years of schooling. Just an idea that if you are able to relocate...there are other schools with great opportunities if you want to become a nurse

Good luck to you all wanting to get into BCIT...you will be changed through the experience.

I did not make it =(

I guess I will have to ask what I need to improve on.

Congratulations to all of you who got accepted and shortlisted
