BCC Nursing Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey guys! Wanted to start a thread for those applying for Fall of 2017 at Bristol Community College! What other programs are you applying too? Traditional or eHealth? GPA and points? Can't wait to hear about everybody else. I've read all of the other years threads and I must say I'm so happy to finally be able to be involved in one! So excited for everybody! Can't wait to hear from you.

@ALray

So, is ehealth doable with a 8-4:30 job?

@AshB111

As long as you can take time off for 12 hours of clinical per week and Monday mornings for when you have exams, I think it would be ok. Many students work, however most need to cut back their hours. Congrats!

Do you know if weekend clinicals are available?

Hello again guys, i just got my letter, i was waitlisted! Im actually very surprised, i thought id be rejected completely lol. Hoping that a bunch of people choose another school or something!! Im going to call tomorrow and see if i can find out where i am on the waitlist. Congrats to everyone who got accepted!! So exciting!

And to FRN12, i have not heard from brockton hospital yet!

Do you know if weekend clinicals are available?

Some people have had weekend clinical, however we don't choose our clinical rotations. The instructors choose them and they accept no requests except for military or religious.

Sorry to hear, hopefully something opens up!! And best of luck on Brockton and Massasoit!

Hey FRN12 i know this thread is basically over lol but i just got my acceptance email for brockton hospital!! Are you choosing bcc for sure?

Yes I've already sent the rejection to Brockton. It was a tough choice, because I honestly think I'd be a better student at Brockton.. they seem like they really care about the students. But, the convenience of BCC makes it more appealing for me. I wish you the best of luck there, Congrats!

Hello...I applied late for BCC nursing for the fall of 2017 and am wondering if anyone knows if 2nd round applicants have been accepted into the program in the past.

Thanks.

HopefulRN

Congrats to all of you that were accepted!!! I am a recent grad of BCC. It is one of the most intense programs out there, but also one of the best! Stay determined and persevere! Every sacrifice will be worth it!

Thank you so much! Congrats on your success, and good luck on your NCLEX!

Hi kjeronimo, CNA. It seems you know a lot about this program! Can you pls help me to make decision ? I just started studying in collage! Actually I just moved to USA! I have degree from another field economist , but I have decided to become a nurse here in USA! I took 6 classes this summer 5 in BCC, and 1 in Massasoit to apply for accelerated program in nursing in UMass, but then I thought maybe it is better to start from BCC and get associate degree from BCC ! Or I will apply both ! So far I have taken AP 1, chem , stat, psy 101, bio 121 in BCC and human growth and development from across the lifespan in Massasoit. In order to get UMASS I am taking Microbiology , AP 2 and nutriation this fall and Teas exam and Toefl ! For getting into BCC program I should register for English 101 and student success seminar too in order to apply for 2018? What will you advice me take all the classes and apply BCC and UMASS or just BCC? By the way I should have mentioned that my other bachalor degree GPA is 3.01 and I do not have classes like history or English composition in my diploma! Hopefully you or someone will read this post and will answer me! Thank you and good luck all of you
