BC nursing schools

Published

Hi, I decided I wanted to go into nursing in British Columbia a bit too late for applications after high school. So I am attending SFU in September 2021 next year to get some prerequisites done before I apply to nursing school in September 2022. My current top choices would be either UBC Okanagan or BCIT. However, I know BCIT is very competitive and the more credits the better. My other choices would be TWU, TRU, Langara, and UFV. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with any of these programs and if there is any information or tips you can give me ?

I think I am going to be taking psyc, stats, English, and I am debating on either taking BPK at sfu or biology at langara. What about you?

I am currently not taking any classes. I think I am going to just take English, stats and psych! Have you already applied to UBCO nursing?

Not yet I am applying in the fall for the 2022 September intake! What about you?

I am planning on doing the same. Are you going to apply with highschool grades or are you applying with post-secondary courses?

I am debating which I should use. I talked to an academic advisor and he said that if you have between 18-23 credits you will be considered both a high school and post-secondary applicant and it will be more competitive. So I think I will apply as a post-secondary with ~30 credits, especially since my chem 12 grade wasn't too good. What about you?

I am not sure yet. I am super stressed out since I think they look at all grade 11 and 12 grades.. Is it your first time applying?
