Does anyone can give any information about Bayonne Medical Center?
Thank you.
I took the admissions exam sometime in the spring and I can assure you there is NOTHING that you can study. Some of the questions were so unrealistic and the test has nothing to do with academic knowledge. It reminded of an IQ test sort of...but there is no way to prepare and is pretty hard to fail.
Wow...I haven't heard of anyone failing but I guess it is possible cause it is a timed test. For example you may have 20 minutes to solve 30 patterns. They don't test you on math or anything like that...you'll do fine..just remember speed and accuracy. I went to the interview which was a group interview..pretty basic, why do you want to be a nurse...and I got accepted. I declined my offer because I got accepted into Rutgers and I really wanted my BSN rather than an ADN.
Your question was very broad...did you mean the hospital or the nursing school?
Hospital--as someone mentioned, really is terrible! I used to live in Bayonne and have small children, it was convenient for us to go to only in ER cases. I had a nurse try to check my infant's blood pressure with a CUFF!!!! Another time, my daughter had croop and I rushed her to ER cause she couldnt breathe...she was NOT a priority..later after things were under control, the nebulizer tube had a hole in it, I asked for a new one and didnt see anyone for about an hour and half---there were only about 7 people in beds! It's dirty and unorganized. They were bankrupt when I left Bayonne and I beleive got bought out.
The nursing school..I am currently at Christ Hospital SON, I was going to apply to both Christ and Bayonne. I cant speak for the actual program but I didnt even finish my application for Bayonne. The poeple on the phone were very rude and not very helpful. "well, admission is veeeery competitive" she said to me. When I told her that book smarts is not my weakness and that the only reason i was applying there is because I am trying to budget my education costs instead of spending 4 yrs in private college, she says to me that she was very busy and I should get my info from the website. Christ SON told me if I was in the area to stop in and gave me a package with all sorts of info to get me started and resources.
Bayonne is very rude and they "loose" your documents for your application. I am glad I read through these posts. I was feeling down since I did not pass the TCS II (missed it by a few points). I guess it is a blessing in disguise. If the school is that horrible and racist then I shouldn't be there.
hey meliann!
i actually got accepted into bayonne and was going to go there but i chose christ hospital school of nursing instead. I went there and everyone was so inviting and friendly, i already met friends! i didn't get the same feeling from bayonne. Everything happens for a reason, good luck to you!!
I work with a gangload of people who graduated from christ but some started out at bayonne, they said it was the greatest move of their lives leaving bayonne and finishing in christ. Although I didnt graduate from christ, all the feedback I hear from their grads are all positive and at the same time difficult, albeit these people are all in ICU/CTICU, so goes to show the quality of nurses they put out.

hey there,
I was wondering if anyone took the TCS/2 admissions exam for Bayonne Medical Center? I know it is specified on the website that there is not material out there to study from, but can anyone suggest any nursing review books that were similar to the questions on the exam? And what subjects they test you in?
Thanks!
