Has anyone applied for or been accepted to Baylor's Distance ABSN starting Spring 2023?

That's good to know. Does the program have any clinical hours in geriatrics like in subacute or LTC? Or pediatrics?
Also this may be random, but do you know if anyone in your cohort tested for their license in California or was planning to endorse there? I can't find any information online and it would really help me be more confident.
Thanks
Hi!
I also graduated in August!
I have a few friends that moved back to California after completing graduation.
it takes a while to get the ATT (authorization to test) in California. I also was hearing that unlike here in TX where hospitals will hire you w/o a license yet (but you have to have to pass NCLEX within 90 days of hire), some hospitals in California do not hire without a license bc it takes a while for BON to issue ATT.
so in short, yes people do it, just a longer process to get att and take NCLEX in California compared to Texas.
as for clinical hours, it all just what is available for your city & what contracts baylor has with the hospitals.
I had a clinical in wound care LTC. No clinicals in hospitals for pediatrics. And no clinical for geriatrics.

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I feel so much less anxious moving forward with the program now.
Do you know if your friends had to make up any courses or clinical hours, or getting the ATT took longer just due to the bureaucratic slowness of California BON haha?
I truly can't thank you enough! Trying to find alumni of DABSN to ask questions from has proved very tricky.
