Hi everyone! I know the application for the nurse residency program for BSWH opened up on 9/1/20 and figured that I would start a thread to update each other on it. Good luck

Hello! From the comments above I know that Temple will be starting February 1st. 

I am also from out of state and have to take the Texas Nursing Jurisprudence Exam....does anyone have any tips on how to pass this on the first try? Thank you ?

I'm going to be at Baylor Dallas and was given a start date of February 9th I believe!

It is an open book test. You can look up the answers on their website.  Should pass it the first time no problems.

I FINALLY received my rejection email.  I feel like they knew I wasnt what they were looking for a long time ago, seeing as I didn't even get an interview.  I may try again for the next one. I just don't want to get my hopes up.  Nursing should be this hard to get a job you want.

I finally received mine as well. I accepted a position with another hospital but I really struggled finding something anywhere. And I don’t feel as though I’m a bad interviewer or have a bad resume but it still was hard... definitely upsetting.

They sent me one too today LOL. But I had 2 interviews with them in October and in July. And I never seem to pass the second interviews. But they told me I wasn't selected 2 weeks after the interview. I guess this email is just a generic rejection email. After trying with Baylor twice last year, I give up. I accepted an offer at St.David's.

Congrats! I also had a few interviews and finally cancelled my interview round with the ICU manager because the process was just taking too long (for me).

I still haven’t gotten a rejection letter but I lost hope a while ago LOL. I also accepted a position at St. David’s! What location and dept are you all at? Would love to keep in contact and know some of y’all going in ☺️

Oh wow that's pretty cool! I applied for PCU in Austin but couldnt start in December so I accepted Telemetry in Round Rock! What about you?

Wow well HELLO fellow St.David's nurse! Pretty cool all three of us accepted st.David's! My location is Round Rock, Tele. And you? Yes I would love to keep in touch too!

I live downtown, so I accepted an offer for med surg 3C at St. David’s South Austin. 3.2 miles from home. I also was offered a position that was PCU/EP/tele at SDMC but declined that one. Congrats on your telemetry position!

Can I ask why you declined the PCU/EP/tele? I live in Dallas! So living so close to home is awesome. I was planning on simply doing med surg for the first year of nursing. I accepted Tele. From what I know of tele, tele is pretty much cardiac med surg. I hope I'm right.
