Has anyone else applied to the DNP program at Baylor for Spring 2022 admission? I am finishing up my application package now. Still waiting on some letters of recommendation. If you've completed your application package already, have you heard anything back yet? I've heard on average it takes about 3-4 weeks for a decision. I'm applying to 3 programs total, but it's all dependent on whether I get into this one. The other 2 program deadlines aren't until later this year since those programs don't start until the fall.

Hi! I’m not sure if you’ve heard back yet but I got my acceptance a few days ago. I’ll be in the 2022 Spring semester and would love to connect with some of my fellow classmates!

Hi @monday0207, I got an acceptance letter as well sometime last week and I’m very excited about starting in the Spring. A little nervous since I plan to continue working full time as long as I can. Will you be doing the same?

Congratulations! I’m so glad to meet someone who’ll be in the same class. I plan on working part time during the program. I’m nervous too, especially for the scheduling my days that I’m working and clinical days. So far I’ve set up my bearweb, email, and ID.

Have you heard from past students what is next? I haven’t gotten very many emails and I was worried that I might’ve missed something important like orientation day!

@monday0207 I have my Bear ID set up but not sure how to set up my Bear email. Did you get a separate email for that? I have prior coworker who is in the program now and who has been giving me some advice. It sounds like the program is doable as long as you have a solid schedule set up for yourself.

That’s good to hear and I had to call the schools TI help number for them to help me set it up but it was quick! I wasn’t sent any emails about it.

I‘ve been trying to look online to see if anyone has started an facebook group or something similar for those in our class but I haven’t been able to find much. Do you know of any? Hopefully we’ll be sent more information soon!

I don’t know of any facebook groups. Maybe we should start one? I do know that my advisor mentioned that we would attend a webinar that we would get more information on closer to when classes start. Apparently the webinar will talk about all the important information we need to know (class registration - which they apparently do for us, textbooks, etc). He told me right now the only thing I really need to do is my FAFSA if I was planning to use financial aid, and apply for scholarships if that was something I was considering too… and to celebrate that we got in ? I know the Baylor admission email had a lot of house keeping things like providing the school with vaccination records and opting out of their health insurance if you have your own. But I think some of that stuff we can’t do this early. Are you doing the FNP track too @monday0207

Hello! I submitted the payment on sept 02 . I got my acceptance letter on October 6 ! I’m so happy and excited. I’m doing the BSN to DNP/FNP. I agree, we should start a facebook group . I would love to talk to more people going to Baylor.
I look forward hearing from you guys. I can wait for this journey to start!!?

Hi @Agmalag! Congrats! Same! Very excited but also nervous! If anyone starts a facebook, send the link my way!

@PirateRN_919 Yes they would be great to start one!! Thank you for that info especially  about the webinar, I was nervous thinking it was soon and I hadn’t gotten the info about it yet haha. Yes, I’ll be on the FNP track as well!☺️

Hi @Agmalag it’ll be in the FNP track too!

Does anyone know if admission decisions have been sent out for the Adult-Gero Acute care BSN-DNP Spring session??
