Bayada Nursing Benefits--a mystery even when hired?!?!

Published

I recently interviewed with Bayada Nursing in Pa and found it to be a caring company with lots of cases available. I had my paperwork completed and did my orientation with no mention of pay rate or benefits. I knew the rate of pay from previous calls that i had made to another office but NO mention of any benefits. Anyone have any info on them. I go for my skills test next week and am going to see if anyone has anything to say then. The exact same thing happened to a friend of mine who is about a week behind me in the process. No mention of pay rate or benefits.

Anything would be helpful.

I am guessing they are not that great as they did not mention them nor did they mention how you earn vacation time etc. Usually places have it all laid out on a platter for you as soon as you get there.

I'm sorry, but I find it difficult to believe this is such a caring company if they don't care enough about employees to avail them of the pay scale and benefits package! Having said that, you hold some responsibility for this too. What about you ask them directly for a copy of the pay scale and benefits package, instead of asking an on-line community? There is fault on both sides here, and clearly communication is lacking on both sides.

Oh yes i agree i should have asked--shame on me--but it is usually the first thing you are given--what i was attempting to get across is the evasiveness makes me wonder--i have been in nursing 25 years and have worked with the management side--i would think they would be forth coming with this info and was here to see if it was a company wide practice or just the office i was dealing with. It was dntentional thing when they didn't offer anything initially to wait and see how long it took. I have their benefits number and will be calling to see what if anything they offer.

I worked with them on and off for five years. Benefit package is pretty good and they go over that in orientation. They also have great accumulation time for days off, referral bonuses you get a bonus while the person who was referred gets them as well. Retirement 401k, great rates, tuition assistance. The benefits are so detailed, I can't remember all of them, but I can say that I participated in having their benefits and they were great for my lifestyle.
