hello, mom&student and welcome to allnurses.com
brcc is projected to start the asn program in the fall of next year (2007). they are in the process of hiring a new dean now. they advise their prospects to enroll in the associates science or general science programs to receive pre-reqs. you need to contact them for further information.
good luck.
enjoy the site and please come back often.
I went to the rn meeting yesterday oct. 16 @ brcc and so far the school starts in January.
To get in you must have:
english 101
college algebra (math 110)
psyc 201
a&p 1
and a fine art or humanity
To graduate you must have these in addition to the nursing classes:
enlish 102
statistics 1
a&p 2
microbiology
psyc 202
No speech or chemisty is required but if you are getting your bsn you need both of them so you might as well take speech for your humanity.
Did they mention anything about deadlines for applying for the nursing program once it is accredited? Are they giving out applications now? I have been trying to get in touch with someone at BRCC for more information but nobody was very helpful:o . I kept getting transferred and put on hold!:angryfire
