I just found out I have to take Chem 1151 before I can start the Anat and Phys. since it's been more than five years since I was in high school. I remember absolutely NOTHING from chemistry and only vaguely remember that it did not come easily to me :angryfire . Anyone taken it at any of the campuses and maybe could tell me who to take or avoid. Looks like I'm going to take it from Douglass-Baines @ Decatur or Taylor @ Dunwoody. Any help would be great.

Go to ratemyprofessor.com. They have all the chem teachers (well most). I'm taking chem II this summer at Dunwoody. I did see that the Decatur teacher you're talking about has awful reviews.
Good luck.

I took Chemistry last semester and it was tough. I was at Dunwwody, I agree look at ratemyprofessor.com. It really is pretty accurate. I have heard that McCloskey is the best at Dunwoody. Several people I know have taken her. Perimeter told me to take the 1951 Chem the one without the Lab, it was a mistake, most schools all require the lab also.
Good Luck!!

I had Douglas-Baines at the Lawrenceville campus a couple of years ago. She is very nice and helpful if you go to her office. She gave us extra credit problems to work, and bonus questions on every test. I'm an older student (36) and had never had chemistry before and I thought it was very hard (to me - not a science class, but more like a math class!!). I ended up with almost a 100 average in that class. My lab teacher was Beth White (a Georgia State chemistry teacher - but part time at GPC). She was also wonderful and I got an A in that part also. Good Luck!
