Hi all! This thread hasn't been started that I see. I am looking ahead at schools to apply this this next year. Barry is one of them. I'm having trouble locating a 600 level chemistry course... I haven't found a local university that teaches grad level chemistry with lab. If they do, I have to take some of their pre req classes.  Which would put me back in applying a lot. 
I called the office and I was told there are schools that do it, however I was not able to get any names. Any help or someone that can provide further explanation? None of the online schools teach graduate chemistry as well.
It seems they just changed this requirement in the middle of last years application cycle- per other threads.  They used to be okay with just general chem. 
 

"Successful completion (grade B or better) of one graduate-level college chemistry course (600 level and above) with a laboratory component. The course (not laboratory component) must have been taken within five years of beginning the Program. Organic chemistry or biochemistry is strongly preferred. In addition, one previous additional science/mathematics course (examples include anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, physics, genetics, statistics, and algebra) is required"

I got an email from Barry that they received my application on 6/4 and I'm still waiting for an interview

Same. I also got an email on this date saying the same thing but I have not heard anything. It makes me wonder if that means that they will not be offering us an interview? Cause a previous comment said that they have already started sending out interviews so if our applications were in that first review pile and we haven't received any information back, it makes feel feel like maybe the application is denied  😞 I hope I am wrong

In previous years, the posts on here show some people getting called 2 weeks after verification and 1 month as well. So hopefully it is still coming

Applied early May, confirmed and verified, but haven't received a call yet.

It looks like if they did send out interview invites we would've heard by at least mid-June for the first batch according to past threads.

 

I did complete a higher level chemistry (OChem with an A).

5 years ICU

cGPA: 3.6 

nurGPA: 3.7

Last 60 GPA: 4.0

Hi! I applied early April, interviewed last week and received acceptance today!! 
They go in waves and will be doing another batch of interviews/ calling for interviews soon I believe. Applying may and June is still very early in their application process so do get discouraged, it just takes them time to get through everyone!

Hi! Congratulations on your acceptance! When did you receive the interview offer? I also applied very early in April and nothing yet on my end. I had been checking MyBarry and my account finally updated a couple days ago that my application was received and the intended start date for 2026. Not sure if that makes a difference. Maybe they are just getting around to my application. Either way, still not discouraged yet but definitely feels like this is dragging.

I applied April 4th I believe and received notice of the interview on 5/21, for the interview on 6/6.
