Hi all! This thread hasn't been started that I see. I am looking ahead at schools to apply this this next year. Barry is one of them. I'm having trouble locating a 600 level chemistry course... I haven't found a local university that teaches grad level chemistry with lab. If they do, I have to take some of their pre req classes.  Which would put me back in applying a lot. 
I called the office and I was told there are schools that do it, however I was not able to get any names. Any help or someone that can provide further explanation? None of the online schools teach graduate chemistry as well.
It seems they just changed this requirement in the middle of last years application cycle- per other threads.  They used to be okay with just general chem. 
 

"Successful completion (grade B or better) of one graduate-level college chemistry course (600 level and above) with a laboratory component. The course (not laboratory component) must have been taken within five years of beginning the Program. Organic chemistry or biochemistry is strongly preferred. In addition, one previous additional science/mathematics course (examples include anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, physics, genetics, statistics, and algebra) is required"

My Stats are honestly irrelevant because you are guys are more than qualified. What I would recommend to stand out is show them who YOU are through your personal statement. They wanted to know more about me as person and my emotional intelligence.

Don't give up and trust in God's plan‼️

Congrats! Honestly this gives me hope. I applied 8/10 and thought I was overlooked. I guess they just are kinda slow and it's the luck of the draw. I hope to be joining you soon!

I also got accepted to orlando campus. Applied to four schools last year and got rejected to all schools. Don't give up.

Thank you! Yes, it was. But I applied to multiple schools last year and got rejected.

This is my first time applying to barry university. As far as what I did differently. I took biochemistry, I had 32 shadowing hours and talked about it in my personal statement, joined my unit based council/took up leadership roles. Trusted God about the whole process🙏

Hi everyone! Does anyone know if Portage learning courses are accepted? Or have you or anyone you know been accepted with the BioChem or Orgo from Portage. The portage website states that students completing courses through Portage Learning receive college credit through their two partner institutions: Geneva College and Bushnell University. Both of these institutions are accredited Organizations that are listed on BARRY's approved list for accreditation per the information session.
