Hi all! This thread hasn't been started that I see. I am looking ahead at schools to apply this this next year. Barry is one of them. I'm having trouble locating a 600 level chemistry course... I haven't found a local university that teaches grad level chemistry with lab. If they do, I have to take some of their pre req classes.  Which would put me back in applying a lot.
I called the office and I was told there are schools that do it, however I was not able to get any names. Any help or someone that can provide further explanation? None of the online schools teach graduate chemistry as well.
It seems they just changed this requirement in the middle of last years application cycle- per other threads.  They used to be okay with just general chem.

"Successful completion (grade B or better) of one graduate-level college chemistry course (600 level and above) with a laboratory component. The course (not laboratory component) must have been taken within five years of beginning the Program. Organic chemistry or biochemistry is strongly preferred. In addition, one previous additional science/mathematics course (examples include anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, physics, genetics, statistics, and algebra) is required"

I applied July 28, received a call to interview on Aug 28. Interviewing on Sept 12. I submitted my app with Orgo in progress and then sent my transcript when I finished the course. I received the call to interview just a couple of days after I sent my transcript. Best of luck to everyone!

Where did you send your transcript to after submitting your app? I just finished taking a biochem course and need to submit my transcript but not sure where to send it

I totally emailed the admissions department, specifically Jennifer. She mentioned how she would be happy to help prospective students. Anyways emailed her to see if she could give me insight on my application and where I'm at in the app pool. Reason being, my last 60 is a 3.8, I have already completed a "higher level" of chem course with an A, plus everything else you could need for admission, but haven't heard anything. Applied in June.

I'm basically in the same position July 1 applied and got told by her too I meet all the requirements but up to the admission committee. I'm wondering if my essay was too weak

I'm in the same boat applied in early July. Last 60 is a 3.9, A in orgo that I completed this July, grad level advanced pharm course completed this Spring. 6 years ICU experience with code/rapid response experience, charge, precepting, CCRN, QM project. I'm hoping waiting all these years to apply didn't put me at a disadvantage. Please let me know if she responds and if you are provided any feedback!

I am waiting, so I totally understand where you all are coming from.  I know it is hard to be patient.   I have noticed they have slowed down contacting people.   It's almost as if they slowed a bit in June.  I am sure we will hear something soon.

I'm sure waiting is a part of the game, mentally. I guess I just want to know if I have a solid chance. My last 60 is solid but I have haunting grades from many years ago.

Does anyone know of someone who has gotten rejected after having an interview?

I actually interviewed last year and ultimately didn't get in. I applied in July, didn't hear back until December, and my interview wasn't until January. During my interview they told me there were only 2 spots left and they were interviewing like 6 people that day for those 2 spots.
