Great, good to know!! Did they ask you any clinical questions?

Yeah some. They would ask you questions about your shadowing and clinical questions related to the type of ICU you are from.

Hello ? I have an interview on  Friday and was wondering if any nicu nurses that received an acceptance had any tips to focus on when preparing!

Specializes in CVICU.

Anyone with CVICU/CCU experience have an interview yet? Or anyone interview for the WPB campus? I will have 2 years of experience by the time the programs begins. Trying to narrow down what to study for the clinical questions. Any advice would be much appreciated.

My interview didn't go too in depth. Just be comfortable with the meds and stuff you see everyday and be ready to explain things. But I didn't get any questions about mechanisms of action or anything like that.

I have CVICU/SICU experience. I guess I will just be picking one patient demographic and sticking to it, nothing too crazy. Like everyone says if you're going to bring it up, be prepared to talk about it and know about it. I'm not trying to pick anything crazy. I'm also applying to the West Palm Beach campus! From what I heard it seems to be a pretty personal interview with emphasis on emotional intelligence questions.

Okay!  Thanks, just trying to narrow it down. We see so much and just trying to review everything.

Best advice I got is to pick one patient and scenario and stick with them. Study everything about it and when they see that you're competent and confident in your answers to MoveOn. You were in control of the enemy, just because you work in a specialized unit doesn't mean that the one that longer. So it's truly up to you to talk about when you want to talk about. You got this!
