Afier:

I was notified via email exactly 7 days after the interview (Fri to Fri) in which they said a letter would be following with parameters of my provisional acceptance, which will most likely be finishing my BSN, which I am done in August.

Wildflower:

Definitely gonna try to do the head start with chem and prof aspects in the fall. EVERYONE says get it out of the way, so I plan on doing just that. If you can, PM me your email address so we can keep in touch up to and through class. I am trying to get together will people going to Orlando. There was another guy in my interview group that picked Orlando, but I haven't heard from him yet, so we will see. I am still shadowing a Barry alum and a friend of mine is 2nd year student and already said she would tell me what books to buy and other info.

Talk to you later!

Hello, I have an interview on June 20th at Barry. I had no idea they were taking interviews so early. I hope there is still a spot for me! Any advice or words of encouragement? Do you know anybody that interviewed in June and got in?

I think they only interview once per month so not sure what you mean if we know anyone that "interviewed in June and got in." The interview is very laid back, they give you a small breakfast, you meet in a small room in the beginning, a current student comes in and you can ask anything you want, but clincal information is limited because she may not be from your requested clinical site. They go over financial aid info, give you a brief speil about the program, you take a brief test (you can search about the test, but is basic chem and ICU meds/info), then you have an interview. I was second to last for my interview and I waited about 30 to 40 mins, so a bit nerve racking, but not bad. We were done by 12 ish. I met with the PD and a clinical coordinator and it was very laid back. I was asked how I would diagnose and treat tachycardia as a clinical question, and I kept it basic. I was told I did well (after the interview by someone who knew the clinical coordinator that interviewed me) and I got in. I felt well prepared going in by searching here and the other anesthesia web site. If you got an interview you have good chances of getting in, or at least that is what I was told.
