The interview went well. I don't want to Jinx myself but I felt really relaxed in front of the interview panel and the conversation flowed well. I liked the PD very much, he's got a great sense of humor, really funny but at the same time intimidating. I believe the last interview is next Monday. Hopefully we get a call that evening. You interviewed on the 9th, right? How was your interview? Were you in the morning session or the afternoon session?

My applications stats for Barry, any ideas?
Whoa! I think you already know what I'm going to say... Everything looks great, BUT what happened to your GRE score? Barry will be having their second interview session toward the end of this month. If I were in your position I would reschedule the GRE, then send a letter to be included in your application package saying your intentions are to retake your GRE's and the date it is scheduled for. If you do get an interview though, be prepared to explain why the score was so low. Advice on that, don't give a bunch of excuses, just let them know straight up that you didn't study as much as you should have and that it's not a good representation of your potential. Then, stress to them that you will retake it. You may just get provisionally accepted, pending retake of the GRE. And, as long as you don't go into the interview sweating perfusely and you can articulate why you want to be a CRNA, then you have a great shot. (Some encouragement---My GRE wasn't great, only 1040 and I got in, but they look at the whole picture, and your other stats are great) Good luck!!!!

Seven more days until my UNF interview. I guess there isn't too much information out there regarding their interview process.

Barry Interview help
Wildflower, I wanted to send you a private message but I can't figure out how to do it on this site. Anyhow, which applicant were you? Did they tell you how you did on the quiz? They didn't tell me my score and I forgot to ask them. Did you feel confident when you finished your interview?

The interview went well. The director was very down to earth and the dean and faculty were very nice. Don't worry!!! Just relax and be yourself. No clinical questions. Their intentions are to inform you about the program a get to know you. High emphasis on chemistry, pathophysiology and pharmacology. The quiz is 20 questions and 10 minutes long. I believe the next round of interviews are toward the middle of January.

CRNA with Masters
There are post masters certificate programs out there. Do some research on AANA website. If you get your MSN it will set you apart from other applicants when you do apply to CRNA school. If you do WELL in an MSN program that will also show an Anesthesia Committee that you have what it takes to complete masters level classes. Be sure you have an answer to WHY you decide to switch to CRNA after already completing an MSN? (what MSN program are you pursing, just wondering)

what is my chance of getting an interview?
How did you do on the GRE? Have you shadowed a CRNA yet? It will come down to how you present yourself at the interview, if you get one. Most everyone will look the same on paper so be ready to shine during your interview. Good luck.
