Anyone applying to Barry University BSN to DNP starting May 2019?

Hey!! I have been trying to get added to the facebook group and I haven't been accepted by admin. I sent Admin a PDF and have sent the request a week ago. I am coming from out of state, so it would be nice to have a way to connect with people! anyone else having this issue with the 2022 facebook group?

I’m in the same boat. They told me to “keep February 1st open. The university likes to give 4 weeks notice”, but this is the last I’ve heard.

Have you been emailing them? Some people say to keep emailing them to show how much you want it, but I don't want to come across as harassing them if we are supposed to patiently wait at this point.

Yeah, but to no avail. I haven’t heard back at all. From what I understand there aren’t any other interviews for this cycle either. I may be wrong, but Denise has only mention the February first date and I’ve received a couple emails from those that had interviewed and accepted. This leads to believe they’ve made their decisions and I am just waiting for the last rejection letter of this cycle.

Bummer. I was holding on to the hope that no news is better than bad news.

Does anybody know how many slots they have left to fill? Maybe there will be another round. Don't give up hope!

When I spoke with Denise on 01/16 she told me there were 15 spots left.

To those who interviewed on Friday - first, congrats and did luck! How did it go? How many of you were there?

Hi everyone. Not sure if people are still checking in on this..but has anyone interviewed and rcv'd a denial? Anyone interview on March 1st? Any news?

Did you get added (I don't see your real name here so I'm not sure)? Allnurses hasn't sent me messages that this thread had been updated so I hadn't thought to look. If you're still not in the group, please try again. I don't see any pending requests.

I got an interview!! Now the nerves kick in.

My stats:

ACNP, AG-ACNP, MSN, CCRN-CMC-CSC, 7 years ICU/CVICU (inc post open hearts), 8 years ARNP. 3.91 GPA in master's program. 327 on GRE with writing score 5.

I graduated back in 2003, so I'm taking Barry's pre-anesthesia class. Probably taking biochem this Fall.

These are amazing stats!! Are you planning on completely transitioning from NP to CRNA? Didn’t like the ACNP role? I’m always interested when I see APPs who either did NP then switched to CRNA or vise versa. I’m in the boat of deciding whether to do NP or CRNA...Barry is my first school choice for CRNA.
