Barnes Jewish Hospital - Info for a new grad

I have some questions about Barnes Jewish Hospital (on Kingshighway)

1) What is the pay for a new grad doing med-surg? Differential? Holiday pay?

2) Is there a sign on bonus? If yes, how much?

3) Is there tuition reimbursement?

4) What is the nurse-patient ratio?

5) Any other thoughts about Barnes Jewish?

Please let me know as I'm trying to decide where to apply & I have lots of students loans to pay back! I'm sure there are other people in the same boat and would appreciate any info.

Have you thought of calling or emailing the HR department or nurse recruiters? I know they have been at our SNA meetings(all of the hospitals you have listed)but as I was second semester at the time I didnt pay as close attention to the details as I will in the future. I did however give my email addy to the recruiter at Barnes & they have emailed me several time with offers to have me shadow, if I have any questions etc. If you contact the hospitals, and you are soon to be a new grad, they should be all over you with information! I agree. I don't think you'll get the definitive, current info for each of the facilities you've posted for without calling them yourself. Too many of us are still in school or still too far removed from the hiring process to give you accurate info.

Most all of these hospitals have active, informative nurse recruiters on staff in their HR. I'd hop on the phone to each of them.
