Hello Everyone!

I've posted inquiring about this school before but I've applied and will be attending BJC's Upper division BSN for summer 13'. Im pretty high on the waitlist for spring 13' as well so hopefully I will start then :) Anyone else starting on those term dates?

Im also open to hear about any good/bad experiences with the school. Hopefully more positive but any current students or alumni willing to give any input will be greatly appreciated!

I will be moving from Los Angeles CA to MO if I do not get accepted into a BSN school here for fall. I know it will be a challenge with both moving and the school itself but I'm definitely ready to start my nursing career :)

Yay! Congrats!

I am looking into applying to BJC accelerated or upper division very soon but have not figured out the major difference between the programs except its time and gpa requirement. Do you know if the either one is easier to get into? I would rather take my time and do upper division but at the same time, I want to get it done fast...hmm.

Also, if you don't mind, do you know if they are very strict on gpa requirement for acceptance?

Thanks!

Hi jjyhb5! From what I have read on other threads they might be a little strict on gpa for the accel program. I may have read on here before that people who did not make it were put into the upper division instead. But I'm not too sure. I feel the upper divison will be fine for me, I get too crazy with accelerated stuff lol. But it can't hurt to apply! I wish you well, let me know how it goes!

Thanks for the response! I called them today and they said if it is borderline (2.95) then the application would be pending. Hmm,, I am still deciding to see if should apply or not. Also, which site did you pick for campuses? Do you know the difference between goldfarb campus and missouri baptist campus? The lady I was talking to was not too helpful in the details. haha

I am attending another nursing program in St. Louis, but have a friend who is attending Goldfarb in the Upper Division program on the Barnes Campus and really likes it. You would be on the Barnes-Jewish/Children's hospital campus and the building is new with awesome equipment. His classes are much longer than mine and he was extremely busy from the first week, but is doing well. Wishing you the best in your decision making and nursing pursuits.

Hi jjyhb5! sorry the the extremely late reply! Yes I agree their admission people arn't as helpful as I had hoped. All I know is that the Missouri baptist just opened up, so im sure its nice and new! but other than that I am not sure. I chose the Goldfarb campus just because it has been running longer. I would apply just in case, you never know! for me this school is my back up if I do not get into a school in CA. Good luck!
