baptist medical centre, san antonio

Hi there

i am thinking of relocating to texas and have been offered a job at the above hospital, i wondered if anyone on here had or does work there or knows anything about the area

There are several Baptist hospitals in San Antonio. I worked at one of the them in the in early 90's. It was a brand new hospital in a ritsy neighborhood and was a good place to work. The census was low at the time. I think I usually had 4 patients on Med/surg floor.

However, once I worked an extra shift at another Baptist hospital in San Antonio and it was horrible staffing---we started the shift with 8 patients on Med/surg. No doubt, it's probably the same staffing ratio now.

San Antonio is a nice place to live, I really enjoyed living there.
