Baptist Hospital Miami Versant Program 2018

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hello everyone! I recently applied to the Baptist Versant Program that starts on March 5, 2018! I thought I would go ahead and get the conversation started in order to keep each other updated. :)

I know that the application is still open, and I just received an email today stating that they are already reviewing my application. I think that they will start calling people next week or the week after! What is everyone's first choice in specialty and hospital? Best of luck to everyone! ;)

Specializes in ICU & ER.

I've already taken my NCLEX too. The interview was challenging for me in terms of critical thinking, but I think it went well overall.

Has anyone heard anything yet?

Has anyone heard anything yet?

Won't hear anything until after January 6.

Did anyone interview anywhere else aside from Main?

Its all about waiting until after January 6.

But is the Jan 6 deadline for all Baptist or only main?

I think so, I am assuming that when they contact you they are going to offer you all the different locations. You chose your preference.

When are you taking the NCLEX? What are you using to study for it?

I'm planning to take it in February and right now I'm only using UWorld

Great Uworld is all you need.

You think so? How was your average?

When I first started I averaged High 50's then my averages were 70's to 80's. I did only Uworld, nothing else. I did not take notes or go back and read any material. I did 50-75 questions per day in tutor mode, I would answer the question, read the rationale and then move on to the next question. More than 75 a day to me was over kill, so I stayed in the 50-75 range. The school I attended prepared me well, I honestly think I could of passed without studying. If you attended a good program you should be fine with just Uworld. I passed in 75, many did in my graduating class. Remember most people pass first time! Stay confident, although your going to feel like you are never ready. The day of the test try and relax, read the questions throughly and take your time. Good Luck!!!
