Baptist Hospital Miami Versant Program 2018

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hello everyone! I recently applied to the Baptist Versant Program that starts on March 5, 2018! I thought I would go ahead and get the conversation started in order to keep each other updated. :)

I know that the application is still open, and I just received an email today stating that they are already reviewing my application. I think that they will start calling people next week or the week after! What is everyone's first choice in specialty and hospital? Best of luck to everyone! ;)

I tried calling and they transferred me to someone who's in charge of the program but they didn't answer and the voicemail was full. Maybe someone else can try calling ?

I just got my rejection email.

I just got the rejection letter too

Yeah is really hard if you are not a schoolar or have not connections.

Its crazy the interview was literally 5 minutes if that and it said they went with more qualified candidates. We're all new grads, so what does that mean? What was the decision process?

Exacly .. I don't understand...

There are certain schools they prefer. Also if you have experience in the medical field. I am starting on March 5 for one of the free standing ER that are currently being built.

They also prefer BSN. For internal hires they make you sign a contract saying you will complete it before a certain date.

Yeah, I'm a Baptist employee with a BSN but I was unable to receive my ATT/test in time to obtain my RN. Plus, they are required to take in scholars as employees. It's tough. Luckily, we have a lot of options down here, and the next application opens in May.

I have my BSN and my license. I just don't know.

This programs is for BSN only they don't get ASN anymore. Also this is for new grads they should not be looking at experience . They should let apply grads from the school they prefer if that is a reason for not to be selected. Again connection is very important and necessary if you are not a schoolar.

Hey everyone congrats to those who have been accepted, I am planning on applying for the August cohort,

I was wondering what did you need to apply to the program, did you need you recommendations ready, or your nursing license right away ?

I am applying from out of state and just started the endorsement process
