Banner Pool pay (or per diem)

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Hi,

Does anyone know what the per-diem rate is for RNs at Banner. I'm thinking of calling, but wanted to mentally prepare myself. The State offered $37.05 for per-diem positions. Does anyone know of any others? Thanks!!!

I'm kicking myself because I can't remember the amount!

About a month ago I talked to a girl that does registry for Banner and she told me how much I would make ..... I want to say it was high 30's/low 40's per hour (and I only have 2 years experience). I know Banner is VERY competetive .... their staff and pool pay is good compared to valley hospitals.

Thanks!! That actually helps a lot!!!! I just wanted to make sure it was somewhat close to the state's pool pay. I'm still not sure what I want/should do. We just moved here about 3 weeks ago and I'm confused:uhoh21: I applied yesterday at a nursing home that is REALLY close to my house, but I don't know how interested I really am. It has been many years since I worked in a SNF and it might be hard to go back Do you know anything about West Valley Hospital? This board seems to indicate that they aren't great.

I've never even heard of West Valley Hospital, but I live in the east valley. Is that an Abrazo hospital?

Do you live in the west valley? There are a ton of Banner hospitals all throughout the valley, so if you went with Banner Registry, you'd be able to find something not too far from your house I'm sure. What kind of unit/floor are you looking to work on?

Hi,

We do live in Goodyear. The closest hospital is West Valley, which is an Abrazo hospital. There are 2 nursing homes nearby and a prison. Everything else is atleast 12 miles away. I'm afraid with traffic that it could be quite the commute. I only want to work 12-24 hours per pay perriod, so it wouldn't be a lot. I was suprised when I went to the nursing home that they wouldn't take my resume without an application. I ended up doing both and the receptionist said she would give it to the ADON. It has been a long time since I haven't had somebody want to talk to me about a job right on the spot. I guess I've been spoiled by the nursing shortage. However, that didn't happen here. I was a bit suprised, but maybe it was a good reality check for me. Maybe there aren't an abudance of jobs available on this side of town. West Valley has numerous openings listed, but I'm just not sure that I'm ready to put in my app there. I'm interested in med/surg, tele, or maybe something different like nursery or post-partum. My last hospital job had babies to older, dying people and everything in between. It was a small hospital in Sierra Vista, AZ.
