Bakersfield College Spring 2017

Hi everybody i wanted to start a forum for those who applied to BC's spring 2017 nursing program since i noticed that we didn't have one up yet. This is my first time applying to BC's program. Has anybody heard anything about acceptance letters? Reading other forums it seems like we should receive a letter around late September early October but I'm not sure if anyone else has heard something different. :)

Just got another letter today. My alternate number has been moved from #11 to #3..still hoping for the best������������������������

I have a question for anyone thats applied to Bakersfield nursing. Can I still be doing my pre reqs in the fall and apply for the spring? Sense they send out acceptance for spring approximately September and I won't be done with my pre reqs until later (December) when the semester ends. Can I still apply? Do I have to have all pre reqs done when I apply or can I still be in the process of completing them?

No, they must all be completed with a final grade posted before you can apply. Unfortunately, this means that you will have one extra semester in between completing pre-reqs and starting the program. Most of us worked on BSN pre-reqs during that semester. Good luck!

My friends husband got a rejection letter on Thursday for the Fall 2017

sorry to hear that for him that is unfortunate.

I was told denial letters get sent out first, than rest of letters should be mailed out by March 15.

Yes I applied, again. I was an alternate last semester. This will be my 4th semester applying. Fingers crossed

I know the frustration I have been waiting now over a year long trying to get in after being denied at other community colleges.
