I'm not quite sure how to use this website yet but I'll do my best lol. So I need to know how the point system works at Baker for the NET test/GPA/whatever! I don't understand it at all. My GPA right now is 2.8....I took the NET this past September at Clinton Township and scored a 76 I think....and I took it again today and I'm just trying to determine my odds of getting in with their little point system. Ive read other ppls forums saying they scored a 20 something on the NET with the point system and I'm just not understanding it. I also had to retake 3 classes so I know that counts against me a fair amount. If anyone has any information for me I would greatly appreciate it. I may have more questions too once I know what I'm talking about lol. The nursing office at baker has been very unhelpful!!
You are right, the cut off was 23.7 and 17 people reapplied. I'm thankful for the extra point but I'm not so sure if I want to continue going to Baker. I've done a lot of research, I'm leaning towards Davenport. They have a national accredidation and the program is a BSN, I would graduate in 2012, the same time I would graduate from Baker with only an Associate. I will know if I got into their program in the first week of May, the same time applications are accepted at Baker. I guess if I don't get in at Davenport I'll stick with Baker. The requirements are, I think, a little fairer. It isn't based on points. Of course the GPA's on both science and math courses are considered, overall GPA, a 450 word essay on why you want to be a nurse, two professional recommendations, and a TEAS exam. They don't except the NET. The TEAS is computerized, some found it easier for some reason. I found it to be the same. There were a lot of Baker students taking the exam right along with me.
I wish you the very best, I pray that you get in. But if not, don't give up! I do know that all this waiting can't be good for the :redbeathe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
