I need to buy a book bag and was wondering, do you guys carry a lot of books and binders at one time?? Should I buy a back pack or a roller bag? What do you guys carry in your bags?

I am very small and cannot handle carrying 5-6 books plus workbooks plus my notebooks on my back so I bought a rolling backpack from Wal-mart. Stylish, no. Absolutely the best option when having to carry a million things to class everyday, yes! I bought mine for ten dollars, such a simple solution.

Definetly A Roller bookbag..more than likely you'll have modules, textbooks, (I have like 4 big binders). So to be on the safe side stick to the rollerbag. Towards the end of the year you can use a backpack. Good Luck:up:
You have to carry 5-6 books at one time??? Is it absolutely necessary?
Any material we are going over that day I bring my book for that material. Anything we are going over for the next day I bring my book because we get break periods where I can study. I'd rather be over prepared than not have a clue as to what is going on. Almost every book we had to purchase came with a workbook, super helpful.

I have a rolling bookbag because I'm trying to be as organized as possible. I want to keep all of my books and binders together because we can always go over something that I wasn't expecting and don't want to be surprised so I just keep everything with me.

My campus has too many steps and too much traffic for a rolling pack to be feasible. I've seen far too many people struggling with them, and the elevators take forever! I bought a Swiss Army pack with plenty of room for my books, binders, and laptop. The design keeps my back happy too.
It really sounds like I have to buckle down and get a roller bag. I guess I'll try a back pack for now and see just how necessary it is, thx.

Rollerbag...doesn't look cool, but then again, your back will thank you.
This is the best purchase that I ever made...I never worried about what I could or could not load in my rollerbag...because when you don't have to carry it, you are not concerned about the weight.

Most of the people in my class have full size rolling luggage. I don't think a rolling backpack would be big enough unless it was huge! I tried to avoid getting something on wheels, but after the first week I gave up. I guess it depends on your school layout and parking situation though. Maybe you could get away with leaving some things in your car. I just like to have everything with me. You never know what you will need!

Roller bags...All the way...
The massive reduction of stress and strain to your back makes this choice obvious to me. Back related issues, damage and pain are some of the largest problems a Nurse has in their career. Textbooks used for today's students are bigger, weigh more and students today HAVE MORE textbooks than the generation before, PERIOD! Trust me, even with stairs, roller bags reduce back strain and stress DRAMATICALLY!!! Professional nurses take care of themselves so they can take care of others, that is why nurses wear high quality shoes and use professional up-to-date equipment. You might as well get used to thinking this way. Remember that many back injuries are not caused usually from ONE incident, but usually from years of stress and strain and the final incident was just the last straw....
I pulled one of the largest rollerbags ever made (They Stopped making it unfortunately) and am glad I did!
I ALL WAYS had my reference material with me as well as all my textbooks. I could and would be able to study; join in or start an impromptu study group because I was fully ready with ALL my material, at all times.
I had additional supplies if a study partner forgot theirs. When you can loan somebody something in a crisis it helps build bonds. These types of bonds pay off a lot faster than you think. I was given many needed insights or information because of helping somebody else out. I know for a fact this "unplanned help" I got due to me dragging a ton of stuff, helped my grade point BIG TIME!
I had things with me even a few teachers began to appreciate. When a teacher knows and sees YOU as a "in-class resource" it helps your grades! It sure as hell did for me! Teachers appreciated me bringing out another text on a topic so THEY could explain something in another way! Plus, never having that, "Dam I forgot to bring that today" feeling is wonderful!
I now have multiple rollerbags as backup and for times when I only need a smaller amount verses a buss load amount.
