Ok, so I got my email about the background check for WGU. It says that for most states the fee is $42, and for certain states it is a little higher due to extra fees in accessing court documents, etc. That's fine, I live in one of the special states where the fee is higher, but I figure hey, maybe $100 or so. That can be reasonable.
I log into Complio and fill out all of my information, and then land on the payment page. $222!?!? That seems so ridiculous! I'm shocked! I feel like I'm being punished for living in New England (what, our winters aren't bad enough?).
I understand that it costs more for WGU to get all of my information, but my goodness. That is almost a deal breaker for me...
Of course, I'm going to end up doing it, because I don't know of anywhere else I can finish my BSN in 6 months and for roughly $3000. Just...just...Oy.

It was pricey for me too, I think around $150 in NY. Might have gone up since then - and I had just had a full federal background check for work!
