Hello,
I did my first travel assignment in the ED at Morehead City and had a great experience. I would love to go back to the North Carolina Coast. I have noticed that Craven Regional has many ED openings and I was thinking that some of the travelers last year told me this was not a very traveler friendly place. Has anyone worked in the ED at this hospital and what do you think? Do they require the Preformance Based testing that everyone is complaining about?
Thanks,
Cris

Hi there! I have not worked ED there. I worked on their IMC unit and hated it. It was my worst assignment since I started traveling 3 years ago. But, the ED might be better - the floors have to come pick up their own admissions from the ED. That would at least be a plus for you. I also worked in Morehead City (that was one of my favorite assignments) - my suggestion would be to go back there. :-)

Craven has a pretty bad rep in the ER. Ihave met a few travelers who said they liked it, but overall, people do not.
Personally, I'd try for Brunswick Community hospital (10 min from beach), Wilmington NC, or Nags Head.
Thanks so much for the info.

Hey,
What's your thoughts on the ED at Onslow Hospital in Jacksonville?
I personally have not worked there, but I have not heard any bad stuff about it. In fact thats a nice area, if I recall.
If you like busier, the hospital in Wilmington is a smaller but very busy ER. Can not recall the name.
