Back to Back Tests

Published

On Wednesday, I was picked for a $90 blood test. Usually, I get tested about once weekly, give or take. For the first time in a year, the very next day I got picked for a $68 urine panel. Two tests, back to back.

No history of dilutes, no positives...shoot, the blood test wouldn't have even been resulted by the time I was selected to test the next day. I tested at 8 pm at an urgent care for the blood on Wednesday and then was selected for the urine at 4 am the next day.

Just goes to show that you absolutely must stick to your requirements because they can and do randomly pull back to back tests. You aren't clear for a few days just because you got tested the day before. I'm just grateful that I keep my nose squeaky clean.

It was an expensive week in monitoring land.

Yeah I can actually see the value of the back to back tests. I have thought (but never acted on) the fact that if I'm tested and drink right afterwards the likelihood of an ETG test being positive is slight. For example, if I check my phone first thing in the morning and get tested at 1 AM and drink immediately unless I'm tested the very next day I'd be very close to being outside the window of an ETG test. I've never acted on this because I have a healthy fear of testing positive and the fact that dinking under such conditions would not be any fun. Knowing now that this next day testing actually happens will help remove even this remote temptation. Thanks!!!
