Azusa Pacific University Nursing Program

Updated:   Published

Hello everyone,

I am starting this for anyone that is applying Spring 2024 for APU nursing program. Deadline is October 1, 2023. You can post your experience applying, questions about the application and if you get accepted into the nursing program.

I applied for Monrovia as my primary and inland empire as my secondary. I have decent stats so I was thinking I'd get in no problem, not so sure now though.

Yeah they don't accept very many 20-30 is pretty accurate. It's been a while so I'm just planning on what I'll do if I receive a denial. I've heard they send out denials at the same time as acceptance before but maybe that's not the case anymore.

I wonder if that's still the case because I haven't had anyone comment on here saying they got the denial letter. ?

me too! Applied for Monrovia with inland as secondary. I did read in past forums that people of all different GPA's get accepted. I think one person got in with a 3.2 I believe. I was really worried about my stats until I saw this and also watched a past info session that they look into your personal statement and recs, so we all have an equal chance I believe!

Yeah... I'm trying not to be a negative nancy but I'm worried they're saving the denials for last.

I had a solid personal statement but I think I messed up with my letter of rec ??‍♀️ but oh well. There's always next semester to reapply!

My coworker who got in like 3 weeks ago said that they already had orientation in person. I wonder why some people still show "under review 100%” on their application then

That's so weird... I don't understand why our reps are saying final decisions haven't been made then.

My coworker said there was 20 people in orientation and I heard usually it's 30 people per campus.
he said technically you did not have to be at the in person orientation. He said maybe there still accepting people in case some people decide not to do the program.
he stated the first day of school is the first week of January.

I think by Tuesday I'll call and see if I can just get an answer.

Hopefully... thank you for keeping us updated with the info you have!

I hope to hear from them by tomorrow
Will you be applying for Summer 2024?

Thank you! If worst case comes I'll probably just apply for next term

I will be. But I composed a whole list of schools to apply to since most application periods open up in February. I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket this time.
