Hi guys! Can anyone share their GPA? I didn't have healthcare experience yet. When will we hear the decision? How many applications per semester?

My CUM GPA: 3.43, science 4.0

Hey @Shelby_2024. I am applying for this cohort at APU as well.

My CUM GPA = 3.86. Science = 3.66

Moreover, I have 3 years of healthcare experience. Specifically, I lived and took care of an elderly patient who suffered from Alzheimers and Dementia . 

I also have my 2 letter od recs completed and plan on finishing my resume and personal statement tonight.

Hey @Shelby_2024 I also applied for program this Summer. I applied for Inland campus. Which one did you apply for?

Inland. It's close to my home. @Mary36M  And Monrovia is my second choice.

@Matthew Fernandez You have great experiences and GPA! I am confused about how they calculate CUM GPA? In their evaluation, CUM is higher than my calculation. But they didn't focus on GPA. Our personal statement and resume are also very important. I am a full-time CNA now; I hope it will be helpful.

BTW, we will hear the decision after 8-10 weeks of the deadline. Per cohort, 20 for Inland, 20 for Monrovia, 30 for High Desert.

I hope we all get in.

Good Luck to everyone that applied! I applied to the Monrovia campus.  I have many years experience in the healthcare field and my GPA in my sciences is a 4.0 along with the other prerequisites. The decision is in God's hands, I pray the Lord places me when and where he wants me. I actually applied to the APU ELM program. I applied to UClA also...staying in Prayer.

Hi everyone, also applying for IE Summer cohort. I am praying I will be chosen, I have 3 years healthcare experience. The only thing that worries me is that if we don't get in, they don't tell us the reason. Do you guys think they go mainly based on our experience work/volunteer plus our personal statement?

@Adriana De Leon. I think the whole application is important. However, while talking to nurses who have gone through this program and other BSN programs they say that your letters of recommendation and personal statements are very important. I'm sure that work experience and volunteer experience are great to have as well. Best of luck! I hope we all get accepted and work hard through this awesome opportunity.
