Hello -

Started this topic to see if there are any other students applying to APU's ELM program for entry SUM 2017? Thought we could share experiences with app process and going forward. I submitted my application for the program last week hoping to hear back for an interview, which I believe is the next step.

I submitted my application earlier this month and recieved a call on July 11 letting me know that my application is complete. other than that, there has been no news. I think the school will start reviewing applications soon because the deadline was this past Friday the 22.

Awesome! Agreed, I'm assuming they are just now going through all apps. Are you in San Diego now? or will you be coming from somewhere else? I'm in Los Angeles, but have fam in SD.

Also - have you completed all prerequisites? I have 2 more to complete (Human Devel. and Research Methods). Though I'm hoping they will consider one of my undergrad classes which was a combo of Stats & Research Methods as acceptable for both the Stats and Research Methods prereqs...

I have two prerequisites left; microbiology which I'm currently taking and Research Methods in the fall. I applied to the Main campus and I recieved a call to schedule an interview appointment yesterday. Unfortunately I missed the call and they left me a voicemail. í ½í¸• just waiting for a call back

Awesome that you got a call! You'll have to let me know when you schedule your interview. Would love to get your thoughts on that whole process and what it's like...I hope I get a call soon...oh the suspense...

Hello!

I applied to the San Diego campus. I have an interview in a few days.. August 2nd! Im really nervous and don't know what to expect!

I have excellent grades in all my science classes but my undergraduate GPA isn't the best.. So I'm a little nervous. I don't think we should be penalized for classes we took years ago that have no relevance to the nursing field. Anyone else in my boat?

Hey Alexischerney - Exciting news. I have my interview with SD campus as well on Aug. 4th and am too really nervous/excited.

Yesterday I received an e-mail form APU saying "we have updated your APU Network Account to reflect your Graduate Student affiliation with APU." and I was issued a school e-mail address.

Shortly after I received a call from the school letting me know I was ACCEPTED into the Fall 2017 cohort at San Diego :) (I applied for Summer 17). They told be to remain close to my phone and/or e-mail because I could be bumped up to Summer 17. In any case, I am ecstatic! and can't wait to start this new journey.

Anyone else get any admission notifications calls/e-mails?

Congratulations! That's amazing news! I am waiting to hear back from IE campus but according to other threads it looks like they have been the last campus to notify us.

I got an email yesterday too! I was accepted into the FALL 2017 cohort at the inland empire! I originally applied to summer 2017 at the San Diego campus. I'm really bummed I didn't get into the San Diego campus (since I live her). BUT I'm so excited I'm one step closer to becoming a nurse!!

anyone else going to the inland empire? I will be looking for a roommate!
