hi everyone,
i'm hoping to get into Azusa's Accelerated BSN program for the Jan2010 cohort. for those of you who have applied and got accepted-what factor do you think got you in? after my initial interview w/Azusa i know that getting all A's in the core prereq's is key. but do you think your essay and 3 recommendation letters weighed pretty heavily?
just trying to get an idea...i was pondering going into an LVN program this fall-but then i couldn't do the Azusa thing next Jan. so many options....
Hello everyone. I am currently waiting for acceptance into the EENAp Azusa Pacific 2011 program. I currently however have been accepted into the CSu San Marcos Temecula cohort for 2010. Do you recommend Azusa Pacific EENAP? I'm trying to decide if I should wait a year for Azusa or just get it done with in Temecula. Thanks!
Hi everyone,
I'm highly interested in Azusa's EENAP program. Does anyone know how competitive it is to get in the program and how many applicants actually get in?
I've been reading that GPA is a huge factor. I got my first degree in Biological Sciences and my undergrad GPA isn't all that strong, but I have all As in the prereqs. I have over 2 yrs volunteer experience working in a hospital, as well as helping run free medical clinics for the homeless, volunteering at a home for Dementia patients, and lots and lots of childcare experience. I am also active in my faith organization and I know that Azusa places an emphasis on Christian values. It seems like a fit, but I'm a little concerned bc my GPA isn't very competitive. =(
Any advice would be great! I also applied for CSU San Marcos' ABSN program, but now I'm seeing that Azusa might be more beneficial bc I'd also be able to obtain my MSN too (I eventually want to become a Nurse Practitioner). I'm looking into applying for Spring 2011, but I havent completed the application process.
Could you share when you applied and what cohort you were accepted into? I'm wondering how long the wait is from the time you apply to when they offer/decline you admission.
Also, is the letter to the Dean the same thing as the personal statement? I am attending an informational meeting about the EENAP next week, but I'm trying to get a head start on everything so I can turn in my application sooner. (Also, is the meeting helpful?)
Thanks for all the help!
Didn't go to a meeting about EENAP...i applied in late december of 2008 to early january of 2009 and got accepted over the phone for the fall 2009 cohort before i even got the acceptance letter in the mail. they had an opening for fall. i was accepted into the summer 2010. so i don't have a true timeline on how long it takes. they are very unorganized so the squeaky wheel gets the oil, i called or emailed every couple of days asking if a spot had opened up.
My friend applied in december 2008 and he got into Fall 2009. and he also got accepted over the phone before he got anything in the mail. i think we got interviewed by phyllis about a month or so after we turned in our application.
