How old are the nurses on your unit? In mine the average age of the nurses in mid 20's I work at a large level one hospital in MICU. What about y'all?!?
My MICU is mostly 20s, some early 30s. Im 23 myself. Our night shift staff is older than the day shift, like late 30s-early 40s.

My husband and I are both dinosauers -- I'm in my late 50s, he's in his early 60s. We've worked in large teaching hospitals our entire careers. My tolerance for residents is still good -- however I work in a place where the attendings set a fine example by being nice to the nursing staff. I haven't encountered an arrogant resident for 10 years. Perhaps because I remind them of their mothers? DH and I are the oldest nurses we know. After us, there's one nurse in her forties, a dozen in their thirties and the rest are twenty-somethings on the two year (or less) plan.
