Published

Hey future nursing students. I've been waiting for someone to start a discussion about the AVC nursing program for fall 2018 and no one has so I thought I would. It's getting closer to the acceptance time and I'm getting nervous.

Hi Everyone!! Hope you guys are enjoying your last couple weeks of freedom until December! I'm Kristena, a recent graduate of the RN program & member of CNSA. I just wanted to take a moment to say how excited I am for you guys. I remember being on here looking for someone, anyone that was going through the same things i was at the time. I can't wait to meet everyone on August 13th at the Meet & Greet we are hosting. Feel free to ask any questions you may have, Ill help as much as i can. :D

Thx! First week feels overwhelming so far!

Input on Cota? How hard is the math test?

Could you see my questions? Still figuring out how this works.

Hey! Cota is an amazing nurse. She is strict & expects certain things out of her students, but this will only make you a better student & eventually nurse.

The math test is bad. Be sure to practice & memorize the conversions.

Hi,

Are you familiar with their LVN bridge candidates? I am #28 on next summer start but I am told they only allow 20 LVN's each year. Mind you, I completed all classes, took the TEAS & met with the Nursing Counselor. Any advice is appreciated.

Im not very familiar with how it works for LVNs. I know that there could very well be ppl that change their minds by next summer though. It sounds like you're ready & willing to wait, just keep checking in with the nursing office.. I think they send letters out in April/ May. & they'll send out a paper that you'll habe to sign & return stating you're still interested.

Gosh I hope so. I have waited a long time for this and with everything, I would hate to have to wait longer than I already have. I call the nursing office like once a month and already, I feel their frustration in their voice. It is about to be a long wait till April. LOL thank you so much for replying back. I appreciate it.

Hi I've been reading your comments and interested because I just recently turned in my application Aug 2018 for LVN to RN bridge. Called today to see my #...and I'm #60! :( how did you jump from 53 to 28 so fast?!

I applied in back in April. They are already getting ready for the Summer 2019 start in April. It helped that I took the TEAS prior on my own (I paid for it) and met with the nursing counselor with everything in hand. I pray to start in Summer.
