Authentication of documents in the Phils for NZ applicants

Hello! Im putting together my papers for NZ application. Is there anyone on board who has undergone authentication of documents in Malacanang and DFA in Manila? If so, where do I start? I need to know where and whom to go in Malacanang so as not to waste time and money as I am from Negros.

Your help in providing me information will be much appreciated!

Blessings,

Hi. Thanks again for the useful info. Just wanna make sure I'm doing my application requirements right.... i will be giving the following documents for authentication in NZ embasssy:

1. certified copy of passport

2. authenticated birth certificate

3. authenticated prc certificate

Am I missing anything else?

Also, would a local notary public be enough to notarize my application form?

Thankks & God Bless....

just try to call the Embassy if there are any changes.i had my papers authenticated last may....If you're still working on your papers (DFA) try to ask them if it is possible to have one ribbon for the 3documents to be authenticated.if possible, you'll be paying for 1 document instead of 3. notary public is enough as long as the signatory is the lawyer not just the representative....beware of fake notary public....i had my papers notarized at PRC. Have you taken your IELTS? If Yes, any pointers? ;)I'm just self reviewing for the next exam on Aug.:monkeydance:

Hi. Thanks for the info. I took my ielts last aug 2006. The funny thing is, I reviewed on my own with my NCLEX but enrolled in a review center for ielts. I passed both... thank God.

But I think you can pass ielts on your own. It helps that you only watch english shows on the TV to improve your listening. In the listening part of the test, when you miss one answer you HAVE to move on. If you get hung up on a missed answer you'll end up missing succeeding questions coz you need to concentrate on the voice recording.

For the reading part, you need to practice skimming long articles. Scan the questions first so you'll know what infos your looking for in the paragraphs.

In writing, you just need to practice. Be sure to have at least 3 paragraphs... Introduction Body & Conclusion to have a good score. Mind your spelling, grammar & punctuations.

Finally for the speaking part, you have to practice also. the reviewers sold along prc contain samples of topics for you to discuss out loud. Time yourself.. you should be able to talk for 2-4minutes. Mind your grammar & pronounciation.

That's all I remember from my review. Good luck on your exam.

hi. do you know how much is the fee for every document that will be authenticated in NZ embassy? is there also a 2-3 days waiting time for the authentication?

The fee for NZ authentication is PhP 1550.00, you can have the authenticated documents immediately after. The schedule is M-W-F 10am to 10:30 am. I know this because I had my documents authenticated last month.

hi! I am an RN here in the Philippines and wants to go to NZ. Can you help me with a step by step guide on acquiring a license. I have inquired with an agency that says they can help me but it is too costly. Do I really have to go through a bridging course. Please help. Thanks a lot!

The bridging course is a requirement of the nursing council, but it is in their discretion, after their evaluation if you really need to enroll in this course. I don't know what their basis will be with regards to this. First thing you need is to download the application form from http://www.nursingcouncil.org.nz/. Then have all your documents(except your photocopy of passport, notary is enough) authenticated at the Department of Foreign Affairs and NZ Embassy respectively. Don't forget to have your application form (the last page) notarized by any notary public near your place (but be sure they are authentic). After all requirements have been sent, wait for the nursing council's response to your application.
