I've been working in Queensland as an AIN for almost a year and a half. I'm about to start my EEN which will take 18 months. Once I finish that I want to become an RN.
I am very keen to move to the US as soon as possible though.
I was wondering if anyone could help me out with studying Nursing in the US. I've done a bit of research and I've come off really confused.
As a EEN can I study in the US? How do I go about that? What should I be studying?
Also - what is the American equivalent of an EEN?
Any help would be great - I'm just generally confused at the moment.
Thanks.

EEN = LPN
Study in America will be expensive and no guarantee once you have completed your RN training that you can stay and work.
Not sure if there are any full time courses to bridge from LPN to RN as a lot seem to do it either part time or online. To study in the USA you will need to be full time and show proof of funds

You would not get credit for prior study and would probably have to complete prerequisites too before being admitted to a BSN program. Ppl on student visa need to show evidence that they have sufficient funds to support themselves for the duration of their studies.
You would have to look at areas you are interested in and start emailing the international student office at the colleges.

Your best bet is to finish your studies in Oz and earn some experience before you move to the U.S.
Like you, I also wanted to try Oz from the U.S. but of course, life has its ways to changing people around.
