Hi Everyone
I have read most of threads regarding AU RN to US RN and all AU RNs seem to be still struggling the deficit issue.
In my case, I didn't learn peds theory in Flinders university, however, I completed my last placement in pediatric ward for 20days and I am going to start graduate diploma of Midwifery (1yr) course this year. Anyone knows if my applicant will accept to be registered NY board after completing my Midwifery course?
Thanks

Hi Serena. My understanding is that the NY board of Nursing does not require the same level of education checks as other Nursing Boards. They require a CVS (Credentials Validation Service) Report and not a CES (Credentials Evaluation Service) Report. It is very difficult to determine the specific criteria for these Reports as they are held very close to their chest as a trade secret.I have read that people on this forum have successfully applied for NY and gained registration despite the Infant/paed/maternal defecits they have in other states due to the difference between these Credential Reports - However without a successful CES there will be some states in the USA that will not recognize your education for registration in their state.Likely you would be able to apply and successfully register as a nurse in NY now and your midwifery course will give you the convenience of completing a CES at a later date if you wish to register in a different state. Although due to the secretive nature of these evaluation companies it is difficult to say with any confidence - The only thing you can really do is to start your application and see how far you get! Keep in mind it took 11 months for CGFNS to successfully collect all of my documents.I was also educated at Flinders (No pediatric placement however) and am about to start my application for New York State registration today. I have unsuccessfully attempted to register in Texas due to my lack of Infant/Paed/Maternal Nursing.I will let you know how my application progresses seeing as we both studied at the same University ?

Hi Daniel.
Thank you for your kind comment.
I am so glad seeing you from the same university here.
Your comments is a hope to me.
I will apply CGFNS as soon as I complete my Midwifery course.
Also, further following up will be really appreciated.
Hope your process will complete successfully. Thank you. ?

Hi, Can you tell me how you got Flinders University to fill out the required document for CGFNS? I am struggling to get it completed and sent to CGFNS with my transcript. I am currently doing my registration application with CGFNS for Utah in the US.

Absolutely!
I was speaking to someone by email at: [email protected]
I see their phone number on the website is +61 (08) 8201 7500 but I did everything through email and they used to have a form to fill out online that I used but I can't find it now. ?
IT takes a long time to get it all together and then the university will send the sealed and signed document to CGFNS. I think there might be a fee involved as well from memory.
For what it's worth I'm now 100% Registered in New York and have my Texas application submitted and pending *Dances*

Thanks so much for your help! I've sent an email to the Flinders address you gave and am waiting for their response.
Congratulations on your registration! Glad it worked out after such a long process!!

Hi Daniel
UK nurse here in the same predicament; did you manage to gain licensure in Texas?
I have applied for CES report to allow me to work in PA but have a feeling I’m going to be deficient. Thinking of applying for CVS for NY then applying to PA after that as appears to work for UK nurses
Sweet as

Hi, I am an Australian nurse and planning to apply NYSED for NCLEX.
NYSED is asking my school and AHPRA to fill out Form2 and 3F.
I knew that AHPRA would not fill out Form 3F and they told me that they only issue Certificate of Registration Status (CoRS). Do you know how to bypass this Form 3F issue?
