I will be sitting the OSCE in late November 2017, I am wondering if anyone here who has completed this process/is currently undergoing this process had any advice to share? It would be much appreciated. Obviously within the realms of legal disclosure as I am aware of the rules regarding sharing specific information about the test.

Also, does anyone know if the use of calculators are permitted?

There is a whole thread about different experiences with the OSCE and how/why people have failed. If you search the forums you will most likely find it. I try to stay up to date with the different reasons people failed, just so i can learn from others. However, I plan to take the OSCE in Jan 2018 and I am reviewing like crazy. My only advice is to practice, practice, practice. I think most people mess up because of nerves. But if you practice so many times, you should not have anything to worry about.

I'm from the U.S. and am also currently applying to the AHPRA in Sydney as well. Hopefully it goes smoother than the NMC application process!

Good Luck!

Hey there!

Thank you so much for your reply!

I will definitely look at the post you're talking about, thank you!

I know it will be absolutely nerve wracking so i'm trying to get into a head space where I can confidently act out the skills/scenarios etc.

My OSCE is booked for November 20th so it's coming up, I'm finding the online material quite helpful.

Good luck for January! Hope to keep in touch!
